  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1/4 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. white sugar
  • 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 ripe sliced bananas (small)
  • 2 tbsp. softened butter


  1. Put all the ingredients (except fruits and nuts) in your bread machine pan. Follow the order suggested by the manufacturer. Usually, wet ingredients go first, followed by dry ingredients, then the yeast.
  2. Choose the Sweet Bread option and start the machine. Wait for the signal (beep) before you add the bananas and nuts. If your bread machine doesn’t come with an alarm, then wait for five minutes after the kneading cycle has finished then add the fruits and nuts.
  3. Allow the bread to cool, cut it evenly, and eat!

Cranpine Bread

Cranberries and pineapple in a bread? Why not?

Good for: 12 people


  • 1 1/4 tsp. of salt
  • 1 1/8 c. water

  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 tbsp. dry milk powder
  • 1/2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. ground mace
  • 2 1/2 c. bread flour
  • 2 finely chopped, dried pineapple rings
  • 2 tbsps. honey
  • 2 tbsps. vegetable oil
  • 2 tsps. active dry yeast


  1. In your small bowl, combine the bread flour, wheat flour, milk powder, ground cinnamon, salt, mace, pineapple, and cranberries.
  2. Put all the ingredients in the pan.
  3. Select the Basic Loaf setting and check the dough; it should appear like a ball without excessive moisture. If there’s a bit of moisture, add no more than a tablespoon of bread flour.
  4. Let the machine do its job, wait for the bread to cool, and indulge!

Nutty Cranberry Bread

  • 1 1/2 tbsp. softened margarine
  • 1 c. buttermilk, at room temperature

  • 3 tbsps. honey
  • 3/4 c. dried cranberries


  1. Except for the fruits and nuts, put all the ingredients in your bread machine pan.
  2. Select the Sweet Bread cycle and Light Crust. Start your bread machine.
  3. Add the fruits and nuts once the bread machine beeps. If it doesn’t, add them five minutes after the kneading cycle has completed.
  4. Take the bread out from the pan, give it time to cool, and serve!
